Ask Us Anything

  • What are your operating hours?
    We are open from 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • What is your teacher to student ratio?
Each classroom has one lead teacher and one teaching aide.
  • How are food allergies handled?
It is our goal to keep each child with a food allergy safe to best of our ability. The teachers will alert families to ensure no outside food containing the allergy is brought to the classroom. In order to best meet the children’s special dietary needs, it is essential that the center staff and parents work closely together. Parents should discuss it with the Director and the child’s teachers upon enrollment. Parents must submit written documentation with specific guidelines for addressing each special type of dietary need and food allergy If the child’s physician prescribes an Epi Pen, parents are responsible for providing this in a zip lock bag with the child’s first and last name clearly labeled, as well as the medication’s expiration date. The Epi Pen will be stored in the classroom emergency bag, 5 feet above the floor in a visible location. If the child’s allergy status changes, parents must notify the staff and Director of these changes and update the child’s posted allergy sheet in the classroom.

  • What is your discipline policy?
Bethania Discipline Policy Bethania Preschool and After School's goal is to create a loving, healthy and safe environment for all children. Our discipline method is Time Out. 1. The teacher will speak to the child and discuss the situation before they sit out. 2. During time outs, the child sits down for approximately 1-5 minutes (depending on age) to think about his/her behavior. 3. After completing time out, the child and teacher talk about his/her actions and feelings, and they discuss together the broken rule and appropriate options for how to handle this situation in the future. 4. If the child continues to exhibit unacceptable behavior, the parent will be called and asked to speak to the child. 5. If the child continues to be uncooperative after three warnings, the parent will be called to come and pick the child up, and we will start fresh on the next day of attendance. If a child exhibits violent behavior or violates another child’s safety the offender will be given a time out, and afterwards the child and teacher will talk about alternatives to the disturbing behavior. Then, the teacher will talk with the parents to let them know what action has been taken. If a child’s behavior continues to be disruptive and prevents any child feeling safe in the program, the family may be asked to find alternative care for their child. If an incident occurs at the elementary school and a child has received a suspension or expulsion from the school, it is the parents’ responsibility to communicate that information to the Bethania Director. The Director may set an equal consequence at Bethania After School program depending on the severity of the incident.
